Meet the woman behind FierceHER

I'm not here to make you a better Superwoman.

I'm here to help you question why you think you have to be one.

Hi, I'm Melody.

Coach. Business owner. Jiu-jitsu addict. Mum. And someone who's had enough of women being told they just need to manage their lives better.

I've worked across some pretty different industries, from horse racing to demanding, high pressure environments. They taught me resilience, determination and, perhaps most importantly, how to keep going when things get uncomfortable.

But FierceHER came from something much bigger.

I got sick of watching women hold themselves back because of the expectations htey've been taught to accept.

Be nice.

Don't be too loud.

Don't be too ambitious.

Don't upset anyone.

Put everyone else first.

And somehow, we're still expected to do it all with a smile.

I call bullshit.

I've occasionally been called "one of those feminist types" - usually as though it's supposed to be an insult.

I'll happily take it.

Because if challenging outdated expectations makes people uncomfortable, then maybe they're worth challlenging.

My approach to coaching is direct, honest and unapologetic.

I'm not going to tell you to "just think positive."

I'm not going to tell you to manifest a better life.

And I'm definitely not going to tell you to squeeze another ten things into your already full day.

I'm going to ask better questions.

I'm going to challenge the beliefs you've accepted without questioning.

I'll help you see where you're holding yourself back, where you're carrying things that aren't yours, and where you've been living according to someone else's rules.

Because I don't want to help you become better at coping with a life that doesn't work for you.

I want to help you build one that does.

You don't need to become Superwoman.

You need to stop living like you have to be her.
